Overview

The self-promotion of Environmental Social Governance (ESG) credentials is now a feature of companies of all stripes. With this deluge of green claims has come rising concern about greenwashing.

Significantly, talk of enforcement by Australian regulators for greenwashing has ramped up significantly in recent times.  In this webinar we ask:

  • What is ‘greenwashing’?
  • What are the grounds for criminal culpability for corporate ‘greenwashing’?
  • Are new offence and civil enforcement provisions needed or does a sufficiently robust calendar of criminal offences already exist?
